Universal mailto: - Framer Component + Override

Universal mailto: allows users to choose their preferred email platform to contact you. Simply define the email address and subject line, and the component (see Image 2) will create links to the corresponding platforms.

This solution addresses the issue when a user doesn’t have an email client installed on their device, which results in a blank tab opening in their default browser, stopping the action without generating an email and losing potential clients.

With Universal mailto:, you can:

• Customize the component to match the style of your project using all the tools provided by Framer.

• Easily personalize the component. From the component properties (see Image 3), you can define the email address and subject line, creating a link that opens a new email in the user’s chosen email platform.

• Detect the user’s operating system and display options accordingly (see Image 2).

How does it work?

Universal mailto: is a Framer component with two variables and an override. It indicates which variable to display based on the user’s operating system, and each button opens a new tab with a link to the corresponding email platform.
